Sarbjit Mellino Collection of Ceramic hand painted plates.
A lot of asian influence, African and special requests.
From koi pond fish, celtic knots, dragons, tigers and kanji.
Discovered my painting talents late in life, but now it is an abundant passion that I wish to share with the world.
I find that I really enjoy the process of painting ceramics. I love when my brush touches the plate and the image is given life. But a piece is not true until I get it back from the kiln.
To me my work represents a spiritual journey, the images I paint give me a spiritual strength and power.
This way a part of me is in each and every item I work on, a spiritual connection.
I spend hours researching the internet, books, and use the computer as well as the sketch pad to work on the images. I find it stimulating to use both sides of my brain to create my work.
I hope you enjoy my pieces and feel a connection to what you see.
Don't forget to view my slide show which also shows transitional pieces (before the kiln) in their raw beauty.
Very beautiful plates with so much intricate detail!!
